I always have conversations with family that somehow ends in religion. My family, though not practicing, is Catholic. We believe in God and his words. I always bring up the subject of the Ten Commandments and "You shall not murder". It all depends on how people view what happens in the afterlife if you commit any of those sins (i.e. go to hell or be washed of your sins and enter Heaven), either way, lets say you do go somewhere bad if you kill. My question has always been: If you murder someone with the intent to kill them in your heart, God sees this as a sin to send you to hell. What if it is in self-defense? What if you are serving in the war and kill many enemies fighting for your country? Does God differentiate the two? Catholic churches will not have a service for persons who have committed suicide or murder because of the sin. Well, what about all those who have died in war and received services. Does God see the rights and wrongs in murder? Or is it all the same in God's eyes?

God or I should say Jesus will judge each individual sin by the persons heart. Killing someone in a war, right or wrong will be laid upon the leaders heads if the war was wrong. If you are acting in behalf of your country. As far as suicide, If someone had an imbalance in the brain or something to cause them not to be in their right mind then that will be taken into account.

I am a Baptist.and the way i understand it is all the ten commandments are God law.it should not be broken.it does not matter what kind of sin you commit it is equal in Gods eyes. A person that is thinking about killing someone is equal to if someone did kill someone it is all a sin to God. I think once saved always saved. if you could loose your salvation from a sin then Jesus would have to die on the cross again. That's why Jesus died on the cross so that we can be forgiven for our sins and be redeemed.I'm not trying to change your mind on your own religion. but it all makes seance when you think about it. God Bless!
