Since im 18, should i fight it this ticket? Im aware that i should have changed my license and abided by the laws but i would like to know if i would be successful in this fight since i am 18 and have a clear record. And what is the fine should i plead guilty?

In California you cannot be a new driver and have passengers with you for a period of time. Too many people? Do you mean not enough seat belts? I wouldn't fight it if the evidence is cut and dry.

This is like getting a ticket for no insurance because you don't have the card with you, or driving without a license if you left it at home. If you go get your regular license, and appear in court and explain your situation to the District Attourney or clerk or judge, they will probably drop the charges. Be aware that you will probably still have to pay court fees, and there is nothing you can do about that.
You may want to ask the people at the DMV when you go get your new license, they'll be much more familiar with the laws in your state.

You didn't abide by the laws, got caught, and got a ticket. It's called the concept of choice and consequence. You make choices, and consequences come with each choice, some good, some not good.
The fine varies with the state and jurisdiction, but it will probably say on the ticket if you read it.

if you didn't bother to update your license correctly, then you should suffer the consequences. maybe next time you won't make that kind of mistake again.
how many people are too many? were there more than how many seats are in the vehicle? not enough seat belts? or was it just that you still had some sort of junior operator license, and therefore only allowed to have a certain # of passengers?

You might want to combine Elaine T's and Cubs woo's answers together . But still - You are 18 now, and if the law doesn't forbid You to have ? many people in Your car, then You ought to fight for Your rights!
