She was probably experiencing a reverse sneeze. They sound horrible, but they are not a big deal. I am not sure why they do it, but my vet said that it is nothing to be concerned about and it wouldn;t be caused by the snow.

That's probably exactly what happened-cold snow up the nose causing irritation. The sound you describe is called a "reverse sneeze", we sneeze to shoot irritants out of our noses, dogs snort it in to clear their noses. Sounds terrible but short occasional episodes of this noise is perfectly normal. If it's going on and on for hours and hours straight, that's time to call the vet.

You've answered your own question. My dog does the same. He loves the snow and as soon as he gets out there he's snorting up a storm and sneezing and choking as a result. As soon as he gets in he's OK. If your dog does it inside for no reason I'd contact a vet. Otherwise I wouldn't worry. Your dog is just being a dog.

She may have put her nose in the snow yes, just make sure she is warm and dry and keep an eye on her. If you have any doubts about her help, just take her down to the vet to get the once over. But I'm sure that she is fine :D

you shouldnt clear or clean youre dog nose cause if you do that will cause brealthy problem for youre dog might have youre dog get sick so the way you can take care of it having her standing near the fire place if you got one or not then just grab one tissue wipe and care ful wipe the snow off her nose holes by dipping little water onto a tissue. if you want to keep youre dog warm during the weather time then i will get her a dogs weather coats or jackets from the petsmart . they do sell clothings for dogs and cats . my dogs has ones they always warm when they do go out side .

Don't worry she was just smelling to hard outside and needed to get it out when she came in maybe her nose started to run a little when she came back in an that's her way of blowing her nose. She'll be fine just give her some treats and pets and relax inside where it's nice and warm.

Some dogs have a problem with their trachea and stress or severe temperature changes can trigger that sort of reaction. You'd have to ask your Vet if that is what it is. It is common in poodles. I had a poodle that had that problem but it was never a threat to her health. It was scary at first when I heard it but she was fine and she lived a long life.
Still, check with your Vet to be sure about what the cause of your dog's symptoms is to be sure it isn't something that needs to be treated.
