Why is he so confusing?
I went into my work today just to say hi to this guy I work with. Also to patch up my mistake of telling him that I didn't have a crush on him (because he asked) because he was shorter than me. That was just a spur of the moment thing, and I actually could have a crush on him, but I don't right now. I mean he isn't that much shorter than me. Anyway, I think I hurt his pride when I said that.
I foregot that there was a party going on there and it was REALLY busy. I stayed to help out. While I was working he said something like "you wouldn't want to go drinking with Kat and me tonight, would you?" I said that I actually would. I couldn't hear his response and we had to keep working. So when I was getting ready to go home because things were slowing down, I asked him "what it was that he said about drinking?" He wass texting someone and looked up and said "nothing". I got confused, but I made it clear that I was disapointed I think. Then he said if I wanted to come drinking to just to

come back at midnight. (that's when we close) I said I would. Then he acted like he was wondering why I was still there and said "OK, bye" I said bye and walked away confused. Is it just in my head, or was I right that I was getting the feeling that he didn't want me to go. I called him later and said that I actually have other plans tonight. He immediately said "alright, have fun." It was like he was releaved that I wasn't comming. I really don't have plans, but he is just confusing me.

He use to be really fun to be around and nice to talk to. Ever since I said that he was shorter than me, and that was the reason that I couldn't have a crush on him, he's been really confusing. I tried telling him that I really don't care that he's a little shorter than me. I don't think he believes me. I want to go drink with him, that would be way fun right now. I haven't gotten drunk in a long time. I think it could also be that I told him that I once got suicidal when I was drunk. Please help me. I don't like being so confused about this guy.

I think I could be developing a crush for him just because I've been thinking about it that much. I also want to go drink with him just to be in his company and talk to him. Maybe a little more once we get loosened up. Is it to late to call him and say that I've cancelled my plans?

wow dude. so you hurt this guy's pride by calling him short and then use him to drink with and ask why he's confusing? maybe i'm pointing the finger wrongly, but it sounds to me like you're not taking this kid for serious. at least not from his point of view. what if you were really into this guy, and he told you he could never be with you because you were taller than he was, and then all of a sudden he wants to hang out and drink with you? i mean, its not that big of a deal really...but i really think you hurt this guy's feelings. you need to mend this. and going out drinking is not the way to do it. people git funny over alcohol, there's so many risks and so much more involved, just have lunch with him or whatever you guys did before you told him that you couldn't have a crush on him. (i'm not sure why you told him that in the first place...). he's definately hurt, and its because of you. that's why it's awkward, that's why he's confusing to you. thats why it seems that he's relieved when you had other plans. because maybe he was. he might like you and there's a lot of pressure to be around someone who you're crushing on knowing that they know you like them and they don't like you. you need to find a way to relieve this pressure of his and be friends again. establish that and then think about drinking with him or whatever...

It seems that he has an issue with his height and thinks that the lady he likes has an issue with it too.You could try to put it behind you and start over. If his height is really not an issue with you then don't mention it again even if he does. Just let him know that
you enjoy his company and him as a person and let it go at that.

You know what I was in this guys shoes at one time, I was hurt by her because she went on telling everyone about how she told me I was too short. I didn't think she was into me at first, and I had a hard time believing her that she kinda liked me... in any situation go upto this guy and be blunt about the entire situation , ask if you can start all over, and emphasize let bygones be bygones.
