Think about it this way,how often do you brush your teeth ? once a month is better than never ,once is better still but daily is best. just remember to use a brush meant for dogs (its softer as their enamel is not as tough as ours) and a toothpaste meant for them ( usually enzimatic as they can 't spit it out like us they have to swallow it) finally,if done often the dog usually gets use to it and doesn't fight against it. good luck

You should actually brush your dogs teeth twice daily, seems like a lot . But if you want to prevent tartar and plaque that is what you need to do. But it is the same with all dogs, dogs teeth should be brushed twice daily. If you cant brush them twice then one time will do okay. You should invest in some doggie tooth paste !!!

Personally, I brush my Westie's teeth daily, but on the toothpaste directions it says 2-3 times a week. (At the least.)
