does the forward hosel really make any difference?

Yep, not good, except for sand or very deep rough. Sent mine back. Try the Solus wedge instead, it has a great design and people don't laugh at you when you pull it out of your bag.

By the way, the hosel on the f2 isn't forward, the face is. The hosel is actually back further than a "typical" wedge.

I like mine. I am not sure it is that much better than a regular wedge, but I can hit the ball toward the green with it.

I did,not as effective as my CG-10 !!
