I am 16 years old and I loaned a kid around 50 dollars, and I need that money back, but he won't pay it. Please help me out in order to get back that money. I know where the kid lives, except that he knows where I live also. If I were to do anything too serious, he would probably know that it was me, and although this doesn't really even matter, whatever I do to him or his property, he may be able to get back at me. I am willing to hear any solution, even if it includes illegal matters, and even though I am not a violent kid, using violence is an option. I am not close with the kid, so I can't get into his house, and I can't go to my parents, cuz they can't know that I lended him the money. I am willing to hear any smart ideas, that will help me get back the money and/or revenge. Thank you for your help.

*** remember that if I do something to him, he will probably want to get back at me, since its likely that he will assume I did it. Anything besides violence and "learn your lesson" (which I have, but I cant let him just get away with it.)? perhaps a plan that I can carry out, or a past experience to a similar situation..?

Based on the information you provided, it sounds to me like you are smart enough to know that violence isn't going to get your $50 back. Beating him up or damaging his property will probably just make the situation worse (and unless he's an adult, he won't be financially responsible for damages anyway). Is he not paying back the loan because he doesn't HAVE the money, or he just doesn't WANT to pay it back? I don't see how you could possibly get the money from him (legally and non-violently) without getting parents involved. You might inform HIS parents about the situation and see what they can do for you (call, visit, even write a letter). In some states, you can even sue someone for any amount over $20, but that's a bit drastic. However, if you absolutely NEED this money back, I'd recommend that you bite the bullet and talk to your parents. If not, you'll have to consider it as a lesson learned. (It's better to learn it with an amount like $50 than $500 or $5,000!) Good luck!!!! Let us know how it goes!

Revenge is useless and wrong... You are 16, right? You do something stupid to this kid, and you will get into deep trouble with the police, because you had a motive. And you (actually your family) will need more than $50 if you beat up this kid and his family sues yours.

if:
---You can't get into his house
---You can't go to your parents
---You can't get him to give you the money by peaceful means,

then count it as your loss, but an important life lesson: money is valuable, and remember people can't always be trusted, especially with money and secrets.

I'm 16 and that happened to me .. three times.

Once I lent a 'friend' $50. She then left school and messaged me telling me I wasn't getting my money back.

Another 'friend' needed $60. Lent it to her, got none of it back.

Then a person who I had a close relationship with asked me to buy them an iPod Nano, and assure me that I'd get the money back .. I did not.

The thing with me is I trust people too much, and forgive very easily.

I guess the advice I have for you is let it go. If asking him for the money back backfired, chances are all other plans will as well.

You should not do anything to his property, it may cost you more money. Did anyone witness you giving it to him . Or did he sign an IOU? If he did either of these report him to the police. Other wise, leave it as a lesson learned. Oh, there is a site www.don't date this guy.com or www.don't date him, not sure, you could put him on there stating he takes money from girls, if you are a girl.

Kiss the money good bye. You won't ever get it back. The kid you loaned it to doesn't care to pay it back.

This is a life lesson. Don't lend money without something in writing. ......Nope, on second thought, don't lend money to anyone. There are banks and loan sharks who do that.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

Life lesson: Never loan money if you expect to see it again. Only loan it knowing you'll be okay if you never see it again.
