I'm having a birthday party for my son. And I would like to remember the great grandparents that he has never met. I was thinking of making a poster and posting their names to it. I need something like a special quote, poem, or saying to also add. I want his party to be a joyful time but i would like to remember family members also. Is this a good idea or should i just leave it be? If not, do you have any suggestions?

A birthday party is a time of joy, Remembering dead relatives he never met would not be appropriate. I think your idea is more for you than him. If you want him to know about them, make a scrapbook or a memory book and teach him about them, but it has no place at his birthday party.

Hi there!

That sounds liek a wonderful idea.

I dont know any poems, but a song came to my mind about eternity. Its called "I can only imagine" by Mercy Me. The lyrics are incredible!!!

"Our bonds with loved ones continue after death as they began long before birth. The love between us is eternal and does not cease simply because we cannot see the departed. Those who have passed to the other side arel very much alive-more so than ever- and ther are able to comfort us and send us their love. But they are also bound by laws which govern our lives and which limit their free contact with us. Yes, they care about us, about our lives and our welfare, but they must not interfere with out progression in life."

Father, thank you for the gift of eternal bonds with my loved ones. It is conforting to know that, when I love someone, death does not part out love. I am thankful to know that my loved ones, there with you, can hear me, see me and know that I love them still.

Amen...

God bless you, love.
