If it's just been there a short time, it's probably gonna go away on it's own. If it persists for a month or more, it could be something more serious. If you haven't had anal sex, it probably is TOO serious.

Would like to try to help out, but you haven't really given much to go on--how long, what does it feel like, is there fluid coming from it, what your diet's like, is the bump directly out of the anus or seems to be a part of it or is the bump just right next to it?

My first thought was hemorrhoid, which frequently can be managed just by improving your diet--more leafy green vegetables and salads, more water, yogurt. Seriously cut out, or at least cut back the colas, burgers, fries, sugary foods....Also, DO NOT strain while sitting on the toilet to poop, as this will only make a hemorrhoid bigger and hurt more.

My second thought was boil, but as the others say it could be also be a cyst; both of these can be helped by hot compresses--run a washcloth under very warm water, as warm as you can tolerate and apply it If it continues to hurt and doesn't seem to be getting smaller/better/or popping and draining, you simply have to go to the doctor for help with or without your mom's involvement.

Would you be comfortable going to the school nurse and asking for help? She can probably tell you easily what it is and what you can do to treat it by yourself at home or if you need to see a doctor for more care.

All in all, as posters above say, she's seen you butt naked from day #1. Some things, as embarrassing as they may be, you just gotta' get over 'em, bite the bullet, and get on with it. The whole thing may turn out to be less of an issue or an embarrassment than you now think it is or would be. And, the help and relief you'll get when you ask for help certianly beats the discomfort and pain, as well as your anxiety about the "bump" much less having to tell someone about it.

it is probably a small hemorhoid but is it just an aggravated in grown hair? they can occur anywhere and if friction is involved they can become very sore - red and swollen.

if so, i don't know what to tell you to do about it. put some cornstarch on it to relieve any rubbing and keep it dry so it will heal.

and, the others are right, tell your mom. it will only take her a second to look at - she has seen your butt WAY to many times to be embarassed. all the stressing and it is over before you know it. by the time your are done reading my answer she could have told you what it is or what to do about it!

take care! SD

Could be a pimple or a cyst either wya i think your gonna have to talk to your parent about it because it might be something more serious tell her your imbarrest and need to go to the doctor dont worry she is your mom she wiped your butt plenty of times she gave birth to you i dont think she is going to get riled over something like this just be honest with her she will be proud of you for coming forward with it even tho you are uncomfortable good luck

Are you speaking about your anus? Is it painful ? Could be the beginning of a boil or abscess,or a small hemorrhoid. You could try a OTC hemorrhoid cream,to see if it goes away.If it grows and becomes painful or if you start to run a fever, tell your Mom,and see your MD. Take care. SW RNP

i might want to surely take him to the vet asap. I merely took my dogs woman beagle on Monday because of a bump on her anus. i concept before each and every thing it will be her anal gland, notwithstanding it become too intense. The bump she had is in many cases found in adult males in user-friendly words via testosterone levels and it had to be surgically got rid of on Tues. in addition they had it biopsied to make effective it wasnt cancerous and its no longer. Now she is mad because she has to placed on the cone collar and her stitches are starting up to itch.

It could be hemorroids or a cyst. Time to go see the doctor - it is important and it will help you. I don't think you have cause for alarm, but you want to get this thing taken care of.

I think you've got a hemorrhoid. If it doesn't go away or gets worse, see your doctor.
