You're quoting from Leviticus? Wow, so you already know that book is a list of rules for the Levite priesthood that worked in the temple.
So I guess your friends are all genetically verified as Levite Jews, which was required to join the preisthood...

For starters...Yeshua's life and death did NOT make the OT obsolete nor the NT any more important. Wasn't Yeshua a follower of the Laws? Everything (but the temples and such) laws should be followed today.

If your friend is a gentile he doesn't have to worry. Certain commandments were only given to the Jews--to wear peyot was one such commandment.

why does the bible say "jesus came to fullfill the law" and on the other side "what's old will soon dissapear" (for the law)?
