It is true that income tax is illegal because it isn't proportional to all states. I wouldn't recommend anyone stop paying taxes. They would be bringing a lot of problems onto themselves.
All the government would have to do is wage an oppressive flat tax on all of the states, and I think it would be determined to be constitutional. Civil servants, military, etc. are not paid through income tax. Income tax is used completely to pay the national debt. Other taxes pay for government services. We should abandon the federal reserve system thats fleecing America. Good question

we should obey and uphold the constitution. There is no law which requires people to pay an income tax. Even if the 16th amendment WERE ratified the high courts have consistently ruled the 16th does not grant such a tax upon individuals, only corporations.
We do pay plenty of taxes and the nation did fine before 1913 without the twin scams of the illegal federal reserve and the illegal income tax. income taxes just pay interest on the debt to the federal reserve (international bankers) the income tax does not go into the payment of infrastructure or military. it is a big dirty scam and must be stopped. we are financing our own downfall.
Christians, uphold the law. The Constitution of the United States.
The lower courts have been bought by the inland pirates. The two principal political parties have been bought by the inland pirates. Law enforcement agencies have been bought by the inland pirates. The international bankers are commiting inland piracy, they are bribing our nation out from under our noses with our own money.
Demand the dissolution of the Federal Reserve System.

Liberals haven't answered your question yet because they are desperately looking online for all the Republican/Bush administration tax cheats they can find. And you'll also get the ones trying to justify more corruption in the Obama regime by explaining differences in not paying and owing back pay.

I know you don't want to believe this, but the 16th Amendment was in fact ratified. I know many have tried to claim it wasn't properly ratified, but they have lost in court again and again. So unless you want trouble, you should keep paying taxes.

I don't see what this has to do with religion or spirituality, but okay.
No, we should continue to pay taxes. America would fall into disarray if we didn't.
"Render therefore unto Caesar the things that are Caesar's". - Jesus.
"My employees and I are employees of God and are not liable to pay taxes to the US government" - Kent Hovind, a follower of Jesus.

That would be nice since a portion of what they "claim" our taxes goes to actually goes to something else that will benefit someone else who is not the common citizen

No, they paid for our civil servants, cops, teachers, firepeople, etc. Upkeep of roads, town services. Otherwise we would end up paying alot more or going without.
