that's cute - 'hercky jerckys'

I call them the 'edgies'.

I get them - I think it's the muscles trying to relax. Happens more when I'm dehydrated or workout too hard that day.

It may be nothing more than "misfires" in your muscles as your body relaxes into sleep. There is also a condition called Restless Leg Syndrome that may be what's happening to you.

Ive had the jerkys but not the herkys. The spiritual answer to your question is that GOD has designed us with reflexes that react to keep us out of harms way. When we are falling asleep we are also partly awake and our body misfires our reflexes. Um.. I think LOL

I know exactly what you mean.

It happens when I'm exhausted but still wired up from work or whatever.

Body wants to sleep but the brain just won't quite let you.

if you mean that your legs are twitching this can be that you didnt get enough exercise throughout the day, or it might be a problem with your nervous system that you need to see your doctor about.

The mind plays all sorts of tricks. Its your body moving and twitching. Even though I know there's no-one there, I still check under my bed just to ease my mind.

It's just your muscles relaxing and getting into sleep mode.
