i've been told that if i volunteer for a remote tour in korea i will get my BOP(base of preferance)....Will i REALLY get my BOP or is it just a chance i'll get it ???????

Yes. I did two tours in Korea in the Army(Osan and Kunsan AB) and my AF friends told me where they were going afterwards. I don't know why they consider it a harship tour but they do. It's actually a great place to go. I prefered Kunsan but a lot of people like Osan better(better shopping and more to do off post). Either way you'll be ok. There is a chance you will get it. Did you pick many. Because I know I had to pick 5 top picks. My best friend did a tour in S. Korea and he got his No.1 pick. Hawaii.But he told me it is not for sure you will get your top pick, but you usually get from your top three picks from Korea. At least that is what he said.

you give them a list of 3 to 5 bases, and you go to one of them. you can't just give them one choice. You also have to be reasonable, and pick a location that has a need fro your speicalty.
