And insist that some sort of peace treaty is in place between Israel, Syria and Iran, perhaps?

Oh. I thought this was a "War on Terror" that just happens to be in Iraq. It really is just a tactic to save place. That way this whole war will not have been 100%, since to the American public, Osama bin Laden was the reason we went into this war in the first place, so since he never was in Iraq, and the people in Iraq never attacked America, it makes as much sense as anything else in this war.

Duh, don't you think that these people who know where Bin Laden is might network outside of national borders?

To whom should we exactly make that demand? Muqtada Al Sadr, the Saddam loyalists, sorry neither they nor the local Al Qaeda guys can produce him. Al Qaeda is kind of organized a bit like Mc Donalds, There might be an Al Qaeda corporate office somewhere but the "Franchisee" is whomever the local Al Qaeda group is this week in Iraq. Next week it might be someone else in an Al Qaeda cell 40 miles away. They wouldn't have Mr. bin Ladin or certainly wouldn't be in a position to know where he is.

As for a peace deal, pretty much we have no credability in the middle east at this point , Israel is best finding another better "ally" in this regard but Israel has a nasty tendency to piss off everyone of her neighbors with is usually seen as their beligerent and arrogant foreign and internal policies (towards the Palestinians especially), Its a sucking chest wound of Middle East politics which won't go anywhere soon because the Arab/Muslim and Israeli leaders are all wrapped up in each others business.

If the Arab/Palestinian/Muslim leaders got it together for more than 5 minutes at a clip, they could leave Israel alone, adopt a stand off policy and within a few years Israel would more or less self destruct without any enemies because it's demographics are not favorable towards the current religious / political arrangements. In another 25-30 years, Israel demographically at least will be an numerically Arab country with a large Jewish minority.

Syria and Iran are basically just thumbing their noses at President Bush and the US because of the whole axis of evil rhetoric which is pretty stupid when you start to think about it. It can make a very melodramatic speech and makes an absolutely ridiculous and counterproductive foreign policy.

Okay, first of all I'm going to ask you to sharpen up on some of the misinformation you have here. Secondly, Iraq does not have Osama Bin Laden and doesn't care about Osama Bin Laden. Iraq wants us to stay there. We are protecting their government right now in this lousy civil war between the Sunnis and the Shiites (both Muslims, by the way, just different leader beliefs...foolishness in my opinion.

We have already called for a peace treaty, got one in Israel and it was broken.

My dear, these countries do not care about the other countries, nobody will help anybody over there. The UN is working on all kinds of agreements for these nations. Good try...and we do need to come up with solutions.

Elvis and Bigfoot are gonna pick up bin Laden in their UFO as soon as they are done with their vacation with the Loch Ness monster.

With 135,00 soldiers and marines on the ground in Iraq, its the one place on the globe bin Laden will avoid!

I think that they know exactly were he is and don't want him. Then they would have no reason to be in the Middle East stirring crap up.
