Yes no problem at all. You can check out hotels with lonely planet or rough guide or use Thai tourism site or trip advisor.com otherwise go with taxi driver and take a hotel for one night until you decide if you like it. I have a number of tour guides who will help and Thais can always get you a cheaper price than on the net.

its high season at the moment but u should still be able to find a room. a good place is the royal guest hse as it has a lot of different rooms to suit most budgets from ones with air con to rooms on top floor with shared bathroom, and best thing is it has a small swimming pool to help u keep cool on the hot days its just behind a road called loi kroh - past a petrol station and left up up a small lane.
other than that head to the other side of the moat up the main street called moonmuang to soi 7 (lane 7) down there and around the neighbouring soi's are loads of guest hse's.

if u wanna stay with thos western style, u can go to Night Bazzar, there's a lot of hotel. but if u want it faster, u can ask for information in the airport. they have the service to help u.
