It depends on what type of hair you have.

I have naturally curly (and crazy) hair.
I would have to first flat iron all of my hair, then take a curling iron and curl each section.

I don't need any more volume than I already have, but if you need volume I think you can also blow-dry your hair instead of flat-ironing it.

spray hair with redken hotsets after drying. then take a 1.5" barel curling iron and curl small pieces of hair to ear level. after curling u just pull the small sections apart and hairspray

1" Barrel Curling iron and finger comb out all curls after they cool - spray with a flexible hold spray and sweep bangs opposite to part.

Curling iron. Try one with a big barrel (1.25 or 1.5"); it allows for a more wavy look as opposed to small ringlets.
