You could go really far north and move to Redding. Cheap, not very big at all, and if you are into outdoor activities its full of them. Also you are never more than 15 minutes away from any part of the city. Downside is it can be hard to find decent work there, secure a job before you move!!

You probably want to move where you can make a living. Try visiting some different places to see if you like the communities. If you know the size of the city or town you want to live in then you can start searching by size. Good Luck!

northern cali is ok but the weather is not the same of so cal maybe try victorville or baker or even bratsow i know there boring and in the middle of no where but u can get a big house for cheap and victorvill is only like an hour and 30 from LA area.

Northern Califronia near Big Sur or Yosemite. If you are going to move, move somewhere beautiful.

think about northern California places like Sacramento or Modesto still cheap to live and there is no traffic.

San Francisco is always fun and lots to do. One of the pluses is you don't need a car. My girlfriend and I are gonna make that move ourselves in June

If you don't, but want a nice place, Sacramento.
