Do you have a secret that you don't want anyone to find out? If it has something to do with counting down, you might be anticipating something to happen. And if you're scared too, that thing might not be good. Are you hiding something from someone?

You are suffeing possibly from something known as night terrors. You wake up almost in a frozen state. The counting is something some people do to deal with this phenom. What you need to know is this is brought on by stress and is more common than you can imagine. IT's only stress. Just keep counting on the fact that when the stress goes away this will too. Good luck!

It's probably your self consious telling you that your on a time limit or something.
Or maybe in the back of your mind you feel like your running out of time to accomplish something & your brain recognizes this fear in your dreams and potrays is at as a count down that is terrfying.
Thats my opinion - I don't really know you at all so it's hard to say.

That depends on what is going on in your life. It be stemming from a fear that you do not have enough time to complete something important to you. Or could it stem from religious beliefs. Some people believe the rapture is approaching and that some are running out of time to get right with God. Really think about what is going on in your life and what could be bothering you.

there are two possible explanations: 1) it is your primal fear acting out in your sub-conscious. basic fear of getting older. 2) it is possible you are having a prophetic dream. seeing something that could happen if you don't heed the warnings. the next time you go to bed and each time thereafter, you should try this method to train yourself to remember your dreams a little more clearly, tell yourself at least ten times " i will remember my dreams" also if you wish to try your hand at lucid dreaming, say to yourself numerous times a day "am I dreaming?" doing this will create a "trigger" in your subconscious. soon enough you will be able to not only remember your dreams more vividly but you will also be able to control them to some degree.

you are probably experiencing sleep paralysis..i also am experiencing that one but what i do is, I pray..I relax myself first and say the name of Jesus Christ..then all of a sudden, i feel like my astral body or something is returning to my physical body..
that counting you are saying is just a reminder that you may be lacking time for yourself or for God..
listen to music, sfot music and preferably Christian music before you sleep and don't ever forget to pray..
