First, congratulations on you weight loss. That is a great accomplishment. Really, diet and cardio have the most effect on burning fat and the stomach seems to be the last place to lose. You can try adding some other exercises for the lower abs. If you work out a gym, try doing hanging knee raises on the roman chair. I've found that they put no strain on your back and are very effective. If you work out at home you can do reverse crunches and leg raises on the floor, just be sure to support your lower back by putting your hands under you butt and make sure you don't arch your back. After your last rep, try to hold your legs straight about 6 inches off the ground for a 10 count.
Good luck!

Eat nourishing food with plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables being part of it. Chew each morsel at least 32 times. This will activate signal to the brain as soon as u have had enough. Besides this change in eating style, take regular light exercises and brisk walks every day. U will be able to gain/shed all extra weight gracefully and in a reasonable time span. No food or drink in between the food and not more than three meals a day, unless u r diabetic.

1. drink a lot of water.
2. eat breakfast at 6:30 every morning
3. keep your heart level up for at least 30min/day
4. eat lunch consisting of fruits and vegetables and meat at 12:00pm
5. eat a snack at 3pm of fruit
6. eat a light supper no later than 6:30pm.
The reason that I say start at 6:30am is because it will stimulate your metabolism and the earlier you eat, the more breakfast you can eat
The reason that I say at least 30 min of aerobic exercise/day is because the longer that you keep your heart rate up the more energy you burn.
The reason that I have put you on a schedule of times to eat is because this schedule keeps your metabolism up. The later that you eat supper, the more likely that the calories that you consume at dinner will turn to fat.
I suggest a lot of water because it has no calories and it aids the digestive process. I suggest fruit and vegetables because they do not have many calories and they digest easily.
Eat nuts in the morning because they are difficult to digest and will keep you full longer.
Good luck getting into shape.
By the way, if you run for at least 30 minutes/day you can go out to eat 1 time per week. For the strong core, I suggest sit-ups, crunches, and extensions. For each exercise do about 100 repetitions of each.
To do an extension lay on your stomach spread eagle and lift your head, legs, and arms off of the floor. Do this about 100 times.

i am a guy and i have the same problem, but my friend knows this girl who is a bodybuilder, and she had the same problem with the lower belly. she said that you just have to be patient and keep doing what you are doing, and it will eventually will come. especially if you are eating right too. remember that you are still tightening up the rest of your body while you are trying to lose the stomach, but as soon as your stomach is gone, you would have already tightened up your body more than before......i work out with weights 3 times a week, abs every other day, and biking/run/eliptical 35 min a day, and its going away slowly, but its going away. good luck!!

The pouch is likely skin not fat so it's not going anywhere. Once skin is stretched out it's pretty much impossible to get rid of it. If you were hoping for a flat stomach you're probably out of luck. Don't kid yourself though. Almost no one has a naturally flat stomach. It's a ploy by fashionistas to make 99% of the world's population hate themselves and their bodies. Don't fall for it. Real women aren't flat anywhere! Check out an art gallery and you'll see better representations of womens true bodies than anywhere else, for better or worse!

I've lost 5 kilos in my first week. It's my 10th day and I have included salad with some protein (eg. egg/ lean chicken) as you suggested. After 4 years of trying, the fat is finally coming off. It truly feels like magic!

No, you're not the only woman!!!!! And if you've had children, you're pretty much stuck with a bit of a pouch!
Just keep up what you're doing and your body will "adjust" itself. You'll see it firming up over the next few weeks.
