Yes, In Viet Nam, I was carrying an injured soldier away from the danger Zone. I carried him by using the fireman method of carrying people out of a burning building. While his weight was over my shoulder, I kept our balance by holding him by his wrist.

When people have been frightened, their pulse not only beats faster, they beat stronger; making it very easy to feel their pulse beat between their palm and wrist.

As I was carrying him, his pulsed stopped. And shortly afterwards (maybe 10 seconds later) the weight of his body seemed to decrease by several pounds. - Yes he actually seemed to weigh less.

I thought that maybe one of his combat boots had fallen off, or that his ammo belt had fallen to account for the decrease in his weight. - But nothing had fallen from his body.

Years later I suspected that weight loss was due to his spirit leaving his body.

It's been over 30 years since I even thought about that day in Viet Nam. Mainly, we Viet Nam Veterans try not to talk about what happened there. Thinking about being there brings up bad memories of facing death daily, while being called war criminals by (most) people here at home. I am crying now, it is so sad to be lonely when you are in a war.

Yes, in many cases you can fell that. I have been working in hospitals for many years and experienced many CPR cases. As the soul leaves or has already left you can realize a shivering feeling. Even as an anesthesia is intended to take place many surgeons believe that the soul slightly flies upward.
The eye pupil which is said to be the soul gate won't move after death.
But of course in few cases I personally didn't.

A friend of mine in high school died, we had first period together, and sat really close together. He even asked me out a few times. His heart gave out during baseball tryouts; he died right there on the track, about 6 hours after I last talked to him.

I didn't find out until the next morning when I got to school. It was being talked about all over. It was the second death at our school in a month; the first was a snowboarding accident. There was a third later, a suicide. Anyway after I heard, I was extremely upset so I just left, and walked home. I cried the whole way, when I got home I just climbed back in bed and kept sobbing. It was a very difficult thing to understand at 15. All kinds of thoughts were flooding my mind & I just wanted to sleep, I closed my eyes and just laid there sobbing, as I slowly began to drift off to sleep, I felt a hand on my back, and right as I fell asleep I felt someone get up off my bed. I was home alone, but somehow I felt strangely comforted...Maybe it was my friend or maybe it was the Lord but either way I felt all ways going to be okay. Sure I struggled for a few more months, and I still often find myself thinking about him, but attending the viewing & the funeral was helpful, many others shared very wonderful stories that will also stay in my memory of him.

I don't know if my answer was what you were wanting. I hope it was of some value!

Both my grandmothers and my father. Did I feel their soul leave? Well, I don't know. One second they were there, the next they were gone and there was an emptiness in them.

I guess I'd say I felt the absence of their soul, but not their soul leaving.

In the most recent case, it was simply a cessation of breathing - which by Genesis would be a departure of God's breath/Spirit = same word in the Hebrew.

Yes. When they pass away with their eyes open, you can see the life (soul) go out of their eyes. It's very chilling.

No. he just stopped breathing. Well, and all his blood was drained in the street. Big mess. Maybe that drunk driver should not have died that night because i would kick his *ss for killing my friend.
