They said it was because I was the coolest Mom!
I want to know if any other Moms have done this before?

You should feel very honored she wants you there. By all means go, but be on your best behavior. I went to my daughters bach. party and we had a ball. Long story short, I ended up being the designated driver for several of her friends and I was happy to do it. Enjoy!!!!!!

GO FOR IT!!!!!! you should be stoked that she wants you to go and be wild and crazy with her and her friends, not many girls like to see they're mothers let loose and live a little.
Go and drink em all under the table and have an awesome night! Even if things with weddings or marriages in the future dont work out, she will always have the best memories of her bachelorette party to stay with her cause it was you that was there to celebrate with her!
Have fun and dont have any second thoughts! if ur soo cool just go with the flow!!!

I like the idea of you being designated driver....

I'm not a Mom but a daughter who would be all over my MOm being cool enough to come out and "serve" in her capacity whatever it may be...

If they want you out with them, go out with them....you are all grown up...just don't cross any lines like someone said...

Or if your heart says, politely decline and say that it's a night reserved for your daughter and her friends and that you'd be available to drive or pick up or whatever...opt out on the basis of letting them feel like you'd be intruding on their good time...

I feel like i'm not really able to comment on this...but i encourage you and your daughter to figure out your best role in this...i'm sure it's there, you two just need to figure it out..

If it were me....i'd feel weird to cross the line into craziness and allow space for my daughter and her friends...

Who cares in anybody's done it before? If she wants you there and you think it would be fun, go. You may want to make arrangements so that you can leave if the evening gets to a point where you think it should be "just kids" from there on in, but I'd go for it. Have fun!

if you have a good relationship with you daughter, and you must have....then go and get crazy and have fun! i guarantee that when my daughter has her bachelorette party...I AM THERE! and yes it is very common for mom to go to these things if she is invited.

I've had co-workers who have gone to their daughters bachelorette parties.

Mothers today are not like the mothers of yesterday.

Go...but don't do anything she or you would be ashamed of later.

Sure! Lots of moms go to the strip clubs with their daughters! I, PERSONALLY would NOT because I just feel like if I REALLY wanted to go do that, it should be with MY friends-NOT my DAUGHTER and HER friends. I always say, "let a "mom" be in HER place, and let a "friend" be in their place..." That's just the way, IN MY OPINION. it should be...

It is a girl's night out to be shared with friends. So if in addition to being mum, you are also classed as her friend, that sounds pretty cool! The bonus is you will not be up late worrying about what she is doing you will be there. Enjoy!!

My mom came to mine and had a blast. We have always been the best of friends. I would have been heartbroken if she wasn't there. If you start to feel out of place call it an early evening and take cab home.

I think you should if you have a good relationship with your daughter and won't be uncomfortble with things like blow-up penis balloons or sex talk. Now if you are a conservative like my mom, I would have NEVER invited you to mine. If your daughter wants you to, you should. :-)
