When i got mine done, they said to wait three months. I know at two weeks, i didn't want anyone messing with mine. Healed beautifully, but i think with most piercings it's best to wait a good little while before you change the jewelry. I totally trust the people at the studio i go to, so I'm going by what they said.

A piercing isn't healed fully for about 4 to 6 months generally, but usually after two or three months they are safe to change as long as you are careful. Keep it clean, wait about three more weeks then change it. Or take a new ring to your piercer and ask them to change it. It will be faster, less painful and they do it all the time. I took a new ring to my piercer with one of my four cartilage piercings and had them change it because I couldn't get the ball back on when I took it off to clean it before putting it in. Days are too soon, but if you just want to do it yourself 5 to 10 weeks is a good time span.

NO alcohol or ointments right on the piercing. A little neosporn around the edges of the skin if it's tender doesn't hurt but don't put anything on the stud!

At least wait until you can put alcohol in and around it, while pulling the stud back and forth. You are asking for trouble to change it too soon. Try to give it at least 10 days, at the very least! If you get an infection from introducing something else to it this soon, your nose will get very big and hot and red! Relax, you have the rest of your life. Dianne D.

if everything is good with your nose and its not sore then you should be able to change it... but make sure you have more than one stud on hand as it can sometimes be easy to lose i had to re-pierced my nose so many times (i've lost count) because you can knock them out with out knowing

I don't understand why people trust whomever it is to pierce them, but they don't trust the instructions they give after. I find that very confusing to me... Unless your going to some closet somewhere to get done cheap> i cant understand the mistrust. If your not going to trust the persons knowledge, than maybe you shouldn't get them to pierce you.............
