My stepdaughter hates her curls...she tries straightening them, but it turns out really ugly (for her face--they're so pretty anyway). But, on her side, they are hard to manage and with really thick, super curly hair, it can be hard to work with. She wants mine (wash and go) and I want hers (curly and sexy)...we always want what we can't have!

because curly hair is hard to manage. My mother used to put sheen and grease in my hair. Then when I started to do my hair, I couldn't I didn't know how to do my hair! I had to experiment with like 30 products and Curly ahir products are expensive! I use garner fructis soft curl cream, curling gel spray, Sunsilk anti-poof cream, Conditioner and more. Poofiness IS A MAJOR PROBLEM! Also, Wet curly is FREEZING IN THE WINTER! most of those products take a good hour to dry. and plus, we are taught that Straight hair was superior and Curly hair and Nappy hair was inferior.

My curls go to frizz because of the lenght of my hair. If I get it cut to about 2inches above my shoulders then my curls stay but if my hair is longer than that the weight of it pulls the curls out and creates frizz. I don't usually straighten it mostly I do that for special occasions. I scrunch dry with mousse to get my curls back. I can understand why some girls hate the frizz it is really annoying.

Until I was about 12 I had curly ringlets and now my hair has gone to a wavy straight kinda texture and I would do ANYTHING to got those gorgeous curls back, but I don't want to get a perm due to the fact they kill your hair!Love your curls, if you lose them, you WILL miss them!

my friend doesn't like her naturally curly hair because it is so curly that it poofs up, she doesn't like the poofiness and would love it if she had straight hair
