What do they look like and where are they locate? Are they inside your mouth, on your cheeks, the roof of your mouth or on your lips? You need to post the details that go along with your mouth sores.

Are you talking inside your mouth? If so they could be ulcers which are EXTREMELY painful. Both of my daughters used to get them whenever they bit their cheek or inner lip even after a dentist visit. The ONLY thing that honestly worked was Listerine. It burns but I tell you what, in a day or two you will literally feel the difference. My youngest at 6 was in so much pain that she tried it, even though it burned she saw the effects and now does not complain to rinse with Listerine. My oldest used to get bad ulcers but with her using Listerine, it has stopped! Sometimes stress can cause these types of ulcers, biting or a cut in the mouth or other causes. Now, I'm talking about single ulcers/canker sores, that what we have dealt with. If it's something else, try an internet search and hopefully you can find something

Good luck!

you would need to go to a dr. if there are on the inside of your cheeks or anywhere like this. If you think they are caused by a bad tooth then see a dentist. In the mean time you could rinse your mouth out with warm salty water, or use a good mouth wash that is recommened for sore mouths.

You likely have HERPES SIMPLEX (yes that herpes.. only reall diff is location, between variant 1 & 2.. i know you dont wanna hear that) see a MD.. get on valtrex or acyclovir..

There is no cure if thats what it is (most likely.. its very common.... 90% + of all men womem and children have herpes in one form or another in the USA.. but its highly contagious when its manifest) but there are treatments.. and NO over the coounter stuff wont do.. but it will make it feel a little better...

Herpes will usually last 1-2 weeks on its own without any treatment (oral or genital) and go dormant until next time.. but there will always me a next time.. its just a matter of WHEN..

If they are inside your mouth, try using this medicine that is bought over the counter. It is called glyoxide. I have stomach sores in my mouth when I eat alot of foods with acid in them, such as tomatoes.
Glyoxide was recommended by my dentist.

In our dental office, we suggest Peroxyl, an over the counter anti-septic mouth rinse. It has hydrogen peroxide in it. You can find it at Walgreens, or CVS. Sometimes WalMart has it. It's much stronger than other rinses and peroxide by itself.

If they are inside your mouth, you can do what my grandmother did. mix Maalox and benedryl half and half and rinse a few times a day with it. The benedryl helps with numbing and the Maalox helps with healing the sores. This is what her doctor suggested to her.

Avoid any food which are high in acid level - citrus fruit, tomatoes, cheese and milk, coffee, alcohol, cigarrets. Check with your dentist, you may have some periodontical problems.
