When I burn a bull on the altar as a sacrifice, I know it creates a pleasing odor for the Lord (Lev 1:9). The problem is my neighbors. They claim the odor is not pleasing to them, and have filed several complaints against me with the local police and home owners board. Do I have your permission to smite them? I want to make sure I am obeying to the full letter of the law in the Bible. But I am only through the first few books.

Why do people who don't understand something ask questions about what they think they understand?? Please give it up!! Either that, or you need to read the rest of the bible, like the parts about Christ, about what he said about sacrifice. Maybe then you would understand why your neighbors are getting so upset..

I suggest you just sacrifice your children instead. That would please God more, and as long as it's based in Christianity, I'm sure you can get away with it, otherwise that would just be intolerant of the Christian faith!
