"MISUNDERSTOOD NATION"?? AHAHAHAOHOHOHEHEHE
That cretin they have for a leader is a complete nut case. He's nuttier than a a hazel nut tree! Are you for real thinking Korea is a MISUNDERSTOOD NATION? They deny basic human rights, starve their people, throw them in prison for even DARING to question their government. Get your head outta your hind parts, wake up and crawl out from under that rock you're living under and open your eyes. Have you been watching the news, reading periodical articles about those crazy N. Korean leaders? If you have, then you need to brush up on your reading comprehension.
I only used FOUR 'F' words. Count 'em. Kamsahamnida!

North Korea stands alone in the world. Their best friend is China and without their help, the backward, corrupt, and oppressive dictatorship would collapse. I don't say these things to be mean; it's just the plain truth.

The North has one of the biggest militaries in the world as if someone wants to attack them. But no country wants to waste their time; there's nothing to gain by defeating the North other than eliminating the threat created by their acts of aggression.

China is prospering to the north and South Korea is rapidly prospering as well. North Korea sits between them with no explanation for their own terrible situation because that regime's brutal dictator and his puppet followers brought all their misfortune upon themselves.

The north is totally surrounded by prosperity, yet they cannot benefit from all the productivity and wealth all around them because totalitarian regimes NEVER prosper ... they only eventually self-destruct.

Oh, and one more thing: If there were statistics regarding people trying to flee into or out of North Korea, comparing the numbers would be overwhelming. By my estimation, fewer than five people have tried to flee to the North during the five decades the two Koreas have been separated. On the other hand, the numbers of people who have TRIED to flee FROM the North cannot be easily calculated.

And why must people flee, I wonder. Why can't they travel or visit other places like every other country on Earth? There's no logical and acceptable explanation.

North korea in the event that they attacked south korea immediately might have the ability to wade by way of south korea like a knife by way of butter. There might certainly no contest. purely look on the arsenal they have obtained in view that they final attacked in 1950. Then that they had yet some hundred tanks little or no transport for there troops and infrequently any army. the only element that stopped north korea from taking on south korea in 1950 became logistics. North Korea would desire to no longer save their troops provided with ammunition. they have had nicely over 0.5 a century to sparkling up that concern. reasons why they have not attacked in view that is Americas nuclear arsenal.

While waiting for a chopper ride to Taji here in Iraq I had a casual conversation with a naval officer and he mentioned that it would take less than 3 minutes to level Korea's military completely using missiles off of our nuke subs sitting out in the ocean off the Korean coast....so no....they are no military power nor are they misunderstood. Their leader should set the people free.

My opinion is this: North Korea has a ruler that is power hungry and wants nothing but people and other countries to bow to his superior... well ego. In general that is fine, but put a man into power, giving him all he desires, and then ask him to listen to reason. That doesn't happen.
The people of North Korea are starving, and he has $1,000+ bottles of wine shipped to his own personal storage? Yeah, that sounds fair.

I don't think they are underestimated. Yes they want to defend their commy, lunitic govenrment. Starving their own people, creating the crazyiest police state in history is just part of what they have to defend. They society would colapse in a second if their people had a clue of what life was like in the south.

I think it is the fifth largest standing army. There is no reason to think he wouldn't go nuclear he has no care for what happens to anyone but himself. His people have been brainwashed into thinking he has all the answers to everything and would follow him blindly into any war he started. Also you have to worry about China joining in on the side of North Korea like they did the last time we went to war their.
