Hmmm, what you are looking for is a radio alarm clock with an on/off for the snooze button. Check yours out and see if it does not have an on/off switch on it.

And you could turn the volume down, down, down, that road of fire.

I suppose it might depend which stage of sleep she is in at the time, how well/tight she sleeps and also on the sound of the alarm. Is it a jarring beep, buzz, or the radio? My son is just over 4.5 months old and sleeps in our room in a bassinet. My husband wakes up to the radio and our son rarely wakes up from that. It seems that the noise from the shower wakes him up more often (the shower/bathroom is right beside our bedroom unfortunately). I guess ultimately it depends on the child. A lot of people suggest that when the child is napping during the day to keep the house "noisy". Keep the tv or radio on. Go about your regular duties of washing dishes etc. The baby will learn to not require absolute silence when sleeping. Perhaps this would also help? Or, finally, you can buy alarm clocks that will ease into the alarm over the course of 1 or 2 seconds. It doesn't start blaring, but starts quiet and gets louder to the requested volume. Maybe one of these might help so it's not such an abrupt start? Good luck with your new addition!
