My favorite way to make iced tea is to use COLD water.
Usually in the evening, I put tea bags in a pitcher of cold water and put it in the fridge overnight.
It is crisp and clear, and tastes great.
Some people add an extra tea bag for more flavor.

Let it cool more slowly-- add the ice right before serving. The cloudiness is caused by the dissolved minerals in the tea crystallizing when cooled too rapidly. I have it happen all the time; it doesn't taste any different but it sure looks bad.

I think the key is how you make it. I use an Ice Tea Pot, and keep it stored in the refrigerator, and it's never cloudy. If you make yours in a coffee maker, pour it into a pitcher of ice after it's made. When the ice has melted store it in the refrigerator.

Bring water to boil, add your tea bags, and sugar. Stir for a few minutes, take it off the stove and let it set for a while. Pour into a jug and refrigerate.
I think that you don't set your tea, is what's causing it to be cloudy.
