allow me plz to frame my answer completely
short answer: hair and eyes.
long answer:

1) getting my attention:
in order to attract my attention?
smart, kind and open.
in order to keep it?
smart, kind, willing to share, caring, loving:
I don't look to the face, to the boobs, to the butt. there's much more to people than what you can see from the outside, and it really is what's inside that counts. even if you're superficial, and only want sex. still all that matters is what's inside. litterally.
of course, I meant that metaphorically. I'm not a superficial *******.
at any rate,
you probably want to know what I seek in a relationship?
a companion, somebody to care for, somebody to care about me
a friend, someone to talk to, someone to listen to, someone to share with
a love, somebody, to hold, to hug, to kiss, and to be held, hugged, and kissed by.
a confidant, someone to share my hopes, my dreams and my fears with, and somebody who will share theirs with me.
an equal, somebody to share with. to give and recieve equally, to ask to go, and who will ask to stop. somebody who will tell me when I'm screwing up, and somebody I can do the same for.

in other words, somebody to have, to hold, to love, to give to, to share with and to care for. and somebody who will do the same for me.
---------
but I cannot give a list of physical characteristics which I find attractive. that's not who I am.
and yes some people just want sex. but I want more than that.
so yes, I'll appreciate your physical characterists, and no, I'm not blind, but I can see beauty in any face, and that's what counts. I love people for who they are. not for who they might be; not for what they may do, but for what do do. I love people for their humanity, their strengths and their faults. and yes. I love the faults too, for they give something to share, something to work with. they make it so that we can live and love, and not always have to be perfect. I know I'm not. why should anybody else have to be?

2) a soulmate:
a soulmate is somebody whom you love completely and totaly. somebody who you want to spend the rest of your life with. somebody who you view as perfect. they are your other half, as it were.
the odd thing about soulmates is that they are sometimes from different countries, different languages, cultures, races, sometimes they force you to rethink your life.
they might even be the same gender as you.
your soulmate will always be there for you
and they make you happy and try to help you
no matter what. they feel the same way about you, at least on some level. it's also known as love.

3) love
love is a very strange emotion
it causes pleasure and pain
completeness and emptiness.
it is a very raw emotion, one which cannot be controled.
...

I shall explain it to you as though love were a desease, though, if it were, it would be the nicest diesease in the world, because it makes people happy, and makes them feel whole.
symptoms of love:
a warm, fuzzy feeling all over the body...
wanting to be with the person.
being inexplicably happy when with the person.
I have more, but you've got it!

:D that's a good thing you know
------------------------------...

now as for you saying that you're completely different?
I don't believe that. everybody is the same in some ways, we all have emotions and the will to love and life, the will to better ourselves, that's what makes us human. so while you may be of different countries, languages relgions or races, it doesn't mean you're different.

everybody is the same inside.
we all have the same unalienable rights.
the right to love
the right to live
the right to shelter and protection
the right to better one's self
(for a full list (in english) go here: http://www.un.org/overview/rights.html..... )
------------------------------...

now in love none of that matters either.
love is not a logic emotion. it is a basic, primal emotion, and is very important to the surivaval of the human species and therefor is absolutely present in every living human being.

who you love, should not decided by their race or their relegion.
it should not be decided by what they look like orhow much money they have
it should be decided by what kind of person they are inside.

what your problem is, is this:
you are afraid that your petty differences will prevent you from truly loving eachother.

utter nonsense.
no disrespect to your fears, or oppinions. it's just the way I see it.

you can't choose who you love, no more than you can shape the mountians, or part the waters. I say that love is the most devine emotion, and the most important emotion you will ever feel or have.

pay heed to it,
listen to your emotions and feelings,
otherwise you'll regret not delving into your emotions for the rest of your life,
you'll regret not forming a relationship with this person whom you seem to truly love for the rest of your life.
and so I say to you:
tell this person how you feel
tell them your fears and hopes
your dreams and your memories
tell them that you love them
cling to them and never let them go.
love is precious, not to be wasted.
it's more valuable than anything in the world.
it is the key to wholeness, and to happiness.
treasure it.

yes sometimes love can hurt you. but trust me,
if it's really love from both sides, you'll weather it through, and end up stronger for your troubles. you'll love eachother all the more.

4) what I want
what I look for in a girl is:
self confidence and grace
kindness, caring, love,
honesty, openness, trust
empathy, sympathy, willingness to listen and tell,
a sense of self worth and of inner beauty,
something that shines from within them.

I don't care much about race.
I've been raised in a way that I can't.
nobody in my family is of the same race.

I don't care about religion...
it is a nice thing to have in common,
but it isn't everything
love is more important.

I don't care about height or weight or the color of their hair
such things go only skin deep, and what lies under their skin, is far more important.

I don't care about wealth,
though wealth dictates who I will meet
and where I will go,
that is the only sense through which it effects my judgment

I don't care about age.
age is a number.
maturity is what counts.

sexuality is undeniably important in the sustain of a long term adult relationship, however it should not be the main reason a relationship forms or breaks.
such things can change.
other things cannot.

in other words, I care about character
but not about props.

I care about the heart
but not the skin

the only other thing I want, is
her to love me back.

to sum it up:

self confidence will get me to notice a girl.
I don't look at people from the outside
so...
what I like to see in girls is this:

kindness, caring, love,
honesty, openness, trust
empathy, sympathy, willingness to listen and tell,
a sense of self worth and of inner beauty,
something that shines from within them.

I don't care about wealth,
though wealth dictates who I will meet
and where I will go,
that is the only sense through which it effects my judgment

sexuality is undeniably important in the sustain of a long term adult relationship, however it should not be the main reason a relationship forms or breaks.
such things can change.
other things cannot.

in other words, I care about character
but not about props.

I care about the heart
but not the skin

what would get me to notice them?
fireworks... lol
no

seriously:
intelegence
self confidence
gracefulness
kindness

what would I like to see more girls do?
tell me what they really think.
accept people for who they are inside, look to the heart. not the johnson. or the musculature

if you want to know why, and how, I love the girl I do:
I'll tell it to you:
I love her...
so very much
there is nothing more I'd rather do
than spend the rest of my life with her*
I love her for her kindness
I love her for her sweetness
her love to all persons
her willingness to listen.
her openness
for her friendship.
I love her for the way she sees the world
I love her completely,
body mind and heart.

I value heart over body.
I love the heart and the hand.
not the the way she looks.

the way she acts.
the way she looks at me
it sends thrills through me...

I love her. with every possible part of my being...
and all I wish for is her to love me back. but I can't make her do that. and I can't change her. I won't. I love her for who she is. and if she's going to change, she'll do it herself

that's called unconditional love.
I love her.
and that's all.
no questions.
I love her faults.
I love her gifts
I love her best.
I love her worst.
she...
she is... well... to me...
the best.

and lastly: on the nature of love and a proof that I'm a sentimental young fool :)
a micro-essay about superficial guys. (and girls.)

kick them between the legs. the jerks.
do me a service for all human kind. I'd do it, but I'm a guy... and we're not supposed to kick each other in the...

now then as for us normal morally driven guys, we care about much more than the body. we care about the heart.
shall I explain in great detail?
she and I are... well very different
we come from different countries, races, cultures, religions. she's two years older than me. we are physical opposites. but I love her all the more because of our differences.
it is very hard to describe in words my feelings for her, but I shall have a go at it, though I am certain that far too much will be lost.
I once wrote her a poem

[her name,]
you to have
you to hold
you to love
you as my friend
forever.
no matter
what you
think
say
do
how you
look
or
speak
I'll still love you
it's you I love
and you I want
to have
to hold
forever

sooo...
that's about it...

That depends on what she's wearing. If she's dressed conservative then most likely the face will be noticed first. If she's in "party mode" so to speak then we're going to notice whatever jumps out at us. Kind of basic but that's kind of how it goes. If the guy has a fetish then he's going to check for whatever his fetish pertains to...if that area is visible. As far as what physical feature attracts most guys...that's going to probably be chest, rear, and facial area. Again it depends on the guy though.

I am sorry about how this will sound, but I think someone needs to tell the TRUTH!
I assume that you are talking about when a man first sees a woman.
The first thing most men look at is her overall shape of her breasts, ***, legs, etc...(Not size, but shape.) Second, and VERY importantly, her breasts.
Next is her face and hair. No matter what men try to tell you, hair is very important.
From this point on, it comes down to individual tastes.

I look for a pretty face, nice eyes and smile. Then, for some reason, I go to her footwear. If she's wearing nice shoes, it gives her more appeal. So instead of a T & A man, I'm a F & S (face and shoe) guy.

For every guy, theres something that they are physically attracted to girls. for some its eyes...others its hair...and well you know some of the things(that im not old enough to mention).........but a sincere guy is genuinely attracted to a femle, not just on phyiscal attractions.

Probably their smile.

Though a lot of guys want someone attractive, they want someone fun too...A smile can make someone attractive and show that they have a sense of humor.

Most girls would think "boobs" or "***", but I don't think that's the truth.

It's definitely the smile.
