go to your local pet store and buy some spray called green apple apply this to your furniture or what ever else you don't want your puppy to chew, when you see him chewing on the wrong stuff either say your puppies name in a loud voice or clap your hands to get it's attention, move him away from the stuff you don't want him to chew and give him a chew toy, once you give him the chew toy give him lots of praise and tell him he is a good boy he will learn the difference between the wrong things to chew on and the right things to chew on

Your puppy should not be allowed to roam free unwatched. Anytime you are not there to see him, he should be kenneled. THat way, when he is lose, and you see him go for the furniture, you can correct him with a firm "no!" and then give him something he can chew on, like a toy. When you can't be there to watch him, then put him in his kennel. I did this with both my dogs when they were puppies. My furniture is intact, and they can be left unattended in the house without chewing on my stuff. It really works. Try it. It also helps with potty training. Good luck

A spray called bitter apple (spray on furniture) worked for my lab. They hate the taste so they wont go back. My dog didnt like toys either. However they do get passed this phase regardless but use a spray (found at pet stores) if you dont want your house demolished.

"Bitter apple" or "Bitter end" spray and also pulling him away and saying "no" sternly then giving him a "chew stick" and praising him for chewing on it. My pom puppy loves "tendons" and chews on them for long periods of time (before he gets bored and moves on to the next thing). There is a whole isle in most pet stores devoted to chewy things for dogs. You can ask an employee what they recommend or even another shopper. Dogparents are like a tribe --we tend to look out for each other! Good luck and please continue to be patient with your puppy!

Bitter apple on the hard furniture and a stern "no" should do. Then, hand him his toy and praise him. You'll have to repeat these steps many, many, many times.
