yeah you may damage it; if the game's not too important than skip it. it's not worth hurting it more and making you not play for even longer. the fact that your neck can't move is a bad sign...you should have it checked out by physio or doctor...

Take some Ibprofen/Advil to reduce swelling. Maybe use a heating pad on it and massage the area that's sore. Maybe that will help loosen things up. But if it's sore in the morning, skip the game or at least limit your playing time. You don't want to injure your shoulder. Right now it's probaby just some sore muscles. But if you work it too hard while in this condition you could hurt it.

DO NOT PLAY ! See a doctor ASAP you could have hurt your spine. Then it could be just a strain or sprain, pulled neck muscles but get medical attention before you decide to do any more sports In the main time try Motrin for pain ice or cold packs on your neck. It is better to be catious now than to go on and possibly damage more as you go!

I would skip the game if the pain doesn't get better after taking Advil. if you can try soaking in epson salt. also try a muscle rub cream bengay or icey hot is really good for sore muscles only down side is the smell.
