I'm planning to go sometime in April for long weekend, from Thursday through Monday or something like that.

Try Southwest Airlines from BWI or Dulles to Chicago Midway. Round trip flights are about $160-$180 depending on how early you book. That can even be cheaper than driving round trip solo with gas and tolls.

Booking directly through the airline is generally the cheapest way to go. I always find the exact same fare on expedia that i do on the airline's website, except that expedia and those other sites charge a "booking fee" of at least $5 so it's better to go directly through the airline.

Hi, you should definitely try southwest if you don't mind flying out of midway. If you want to fly out of O'Hare, I recommend United or American. Try their website or Expedia. I've found many low fares on Expedia (even cheaper than southwest). Good Luck.
