I've heard that it prevents bad breath. Dunno if it's true, but eating parsley, which is rich in chlorophyll seems to work. Foods that are rich in chlorophyll are usually also rich in vitamin C, which prevents scurvy. One cause of bad breath is mild vitamin C deficiency. Chlorophyll contains magnesium, which is a mineral your body needs. You don't need to buy chlorophyll for its health benefits. If you eat plenty of green vegetables you'll get plenty, as well as other nutrients like vitamin A, fibre and antioxidants.
