Personally, I like well-behaved dogs the most. I feel so bad for the dogs who don't receive the attention (and behavior training) they need; that's why so many poor dogs end up at the pound! Even though I prefer dogs, there are some amazing cats out there. My cousin's cat meows at me like he is having a conversation with me and he follows me around --I love him!!

About which of the pets you mentioned is better, it depends on the person. If you want a low-maintenance pet that enjoys its independence, cats are the way to go. If you want a pet that needs your attention and likes to be with you all the time, dogs are the way to go --provided you can meet its needs.

I have had both cats and dogs, right now two border collie dogs and I like the dogs best because I can take them for car rides, they are more loyal to me, and they are well trained to go potty outside, which means no litter boxes like a cat. The cats were always on the counter tops in the kitchen, could not take them for rides, not loyal , and always had a litter box to clean each day.

Well dogs and cats like to be outside and cats you can have fun playing with them and let them outside to play dogs they love to play with you and learn new stuff like cats dogs like walks cats on the other hand you have to train them to like the leash.

I like both but prefer dogs just because i find it so much harder to find a social cat. Most cats that I have come across don't like to be held or bothered a whole lot and I am allergic to them but dogs I think are so much more fun and while I am allergic to all cats I am only allergic to certain breeds of dogs.

Cats. I like dogs too, but cats pretty much take care of themselves and only need people for love and affection, as well as food and changing the box. Dogs need more, and for people that haven't had a lot of experience with pets, I think cats are the best recommendation for them

It depends of your time to take the dogs for 3 walks a day, cats doesn´t needed. I preffer dogs, because some cats can be very wery.

I love both but I have a cat that I love and adore. I have had more cats than dogs. So I would have to say I like cats better.
There easier to take care of.
Dogs may be man best friend but im a woman and a cat is my best friend.

i love dogs better than cats. cats just sleep mostly. dogs give you love and you can really talk to them and they understand as if they were a person.

First, let me say I love all animals. As far as personal pets are concerned I prefer living with cats rather than dogs. Cats are far less dependent, and require less attention like regular walks. Cats are more laid back. Leave them with food and a clean litter box and they're happy. They fit my lifestyle better.
