I have liked this girl alot for awhile, and I have known her for several years... She told me she liked me, and I told her I did too! We were going to do something this weekend, but last night, she told me "I'm not quite sure if I can get over seeing us as just friends, I mean I see you as a really really good friend"... whats that supposed to mean, is she saying that as an excuse? Is there any chance that she still likes me? I mean, today, when I saw her, she was the nicest she has ever been to me, and she kept smiling at me...

I did this one time. A friend of mine asked me out and I said yes thinking that if I kept an open mind that maybe I could get through a date with him. Well, the problem was he was always more like an older brother to me and the more I thought about the upcoming date - the worst I felt. I had to end up breaking it off before we even had a date because I couldn't get over the "brotherly" feelings for him. Maybe she just can't get past seeing you as a friend despite how much she wanted to or thought she could. It might also be that she just doesn't ruin the relationship. Talk to her - but if she just wants to be friends, be greatful that you have her in your life. Things might change later on and she could eventually grow to see you as more.

We girls tend to do that so often!. Give her a few days. Ask her out again somewhere and that time be honest about it and ask her what she really really wants.
