I`m 5 ft. and I swear I`ve been this height for a while. Is this honestly considered short ? And what height would be considered normal for someone like me ? I know it depends on bone, and muscle. I know I`m not chubby, but I`m not anorexic thin either. I`m just wondering ?

Yes you are. It is strongly related with genetics. If you Parent are short than it is your genetic stamp. You have got 2yrs. I am advising you an exercise. It may help you immensely. on a horizontal bar just jump hold it & try to pull your body up. You can do it at home also by pulling up holding any thing which is strong enough to hold your weight & smooth for gripping. Take a lot of protein & continue it for 2 yrs. Any time you will start growing quickly. 99% chance is that you will go up to 5'7". All the best.

Well it all depends on your genes, and it doesnt just depend on your parents, because some genes can skip a generation like the way my grandpa is 6', my dad is 5'5, and im 5'7. Another thing, girls stop growing before guys, guys generally keep growing taller till about the age of 20-21 and girls generally stop growing around 17-18, we just start growing wider after a little while. You might grow maybe an inch or two in the next 2 years, but probably not much more than that. And no, 5' is not considered short, you're just not tall. Don't worry about it though, i know several people as tall or shorter than you, and just a fun fact, 4'11 is considered the maximum height to be considered a dwarf or midget. How tall you are doesn't depend on muscle, it's predetermined in your gene's make-up how tall you will be.

It largely depends on your genetics. When I was 16 I was 5 foot 2 and that's how tall I am today (in my early 40's). From what I've read on the Internet, 16 is a typical age for being full-height. One article I read said that eating properly, getting enough exercise and enough rest will help your body get to it's full height potential, but your genetics really play the largest role. If both your parents are a LOT taller than you, then you might ask your parents to take you to a doctor to see if anything else could be wrong hormonally.

well i am 12 and 5'8" so i sort of consider everyone short. I think that may be a little below the average height for a 16 year old. However it does depend on how tall your parents are, you know genes and all that good stuff

You are totally normal...
Asking others if you are "normal" is a scary thing to do expecially when most everyone today is unsure about themselves and have to look at other people to see if they fit in... Trust me on this, even the prom queen at school is unsure of herself, even Miss America...
You are perfect in every way... the best way you can tell if you will be taller is to look at the height of your family, mom dad, siblings... I am 5'2 but my daughter is 5'4 and growing... both her dad and I are not tall... :) I like being small... I am able to stand on my toes and kiss my husband :)

I was about 5' 9" when I was 16. (frickin' HUGE)
I'm about an inch taller and 2 years older.
It really depends, but on average...I think that's pretty short.

How much is that in centimetres?

I'm a 16 year old female and I'm 152 or 153 cm. Yes, very short, I know. It doesn't both me much, though.

Is your parents tall? You usually get your traits from them. Each person is different. 5ft could be the norm for a girl in your family. I know I am 5'10 (girl), but my parents are both that height.
