First you would need to find out if your new salon has any contracts binding them to the products they use. Then if you are in a position to buy for the new salon you need to assess whether the first product line gives a better result and check for any difference in cost.
Then you would be in a position to make a decision or discuss it with the owner or manager. There's no problem with ethics but for the business to thrive you need to have the best products giving the best results!

its not an ethics problem if the current salon has no rules on that or that you must use a specific product line.

where I used to go they had 3 diff products lines cause each hair dresser had her own preference,

I don't think its a question of ethics, but of what the clients prefer. If the line works, go for it. Maybe the customers prefer it over others.

depends..if you are not working for the new salon --renting a booth then it probably doesnt matter..but if you are commissed or hourly there is probably some policy about the product line offered..

Maybe the people would enjoy the change. You should try it and see how it goes give it some time you know how people in small towns are.

if you rent a chair you can do whatever you please, if you work for someone else then you should ask the owner if they would mind you using your own line that you like, and maybe if they get alot of requests for what you use they will deside tgo switch product lines themselves...
