It is useful to have a name that means what exists I think here we need to have some background knowledge to make this world seem more real. Random acts of craziness has a pattern of development. All things in life have a pattern. The best way to see mental disorders is a series of varying degrees of depression and stress. Mild stress produces an excellent person for creativity and performance. More depression saps the energy and creativity that these people once had as the leave neurosis and become bipolar. There are three levels used to describe Bipolar. Then the imbalance of chemicals made by your own brain plays havoc with the whole control system. The auto brain or lower brain can aggressively access messages that were kept from it earlier. As the depression continues and more and more logic substitutions are made the mind goes into a full psychosis where ideas are disassociated and language decays. The end result of psychosis from severe depression is schizophrenia which has been described as incurable . The mothers tormented by their peers and social pressures can become totally illogical. The courts recognize the disorders without explaining life to us.

I hope this is a serious question. Their is a Munchausen’s thing but if you are referring to what I think you are, then that would be the most extreme kind of psychosis. Complete break with reality. It is more common post-partum than you would think. It usually does not get as far as Andrea Yates. OMG yes what she did was horrible. But all the morons who basically just stood around and watched WTF??? How could they not tell where this whole thing was going? Hmm?? Psychoses (meaning more than one time)?? hospitalizations?? NOT med compliant?? have another baby?? left alone with children?? They all knew? Why did it come to that?? Mass head up *sses syndrome.
They = Drs and adult family members, you know people who did actually know her

Munchausen by Proxy. The mother uses her child to get the attention of care givers. She often appears as a genuinely concerned mother, but her child's problems are intentionally created by her.

I can't remember what it is, but I know it's not "Munchausen Syndrome by Proxy." It's a shorter term that doesn't begin with the letter "M!" I read about it, and I really wish I could remember what the source was.
