If you are in the United States, you'll be tagged as a geek. But here in the Philippines, you'd be one of the coolest students if you have braces because there is this conception that people with braces are rich well basically because they could afford to get braces on. If you have a serious malocclusion, you shouldn't be thinking about how they will look. Rather, picture your smile when you are done with your braces. And think, who's geeky now?

No! I had them for 3 years and I was never thought of as a geek. Actually I liked the way they looked, looked even nicer when they were off.

All of the coolest kids in my school had braces. they compared them, talked about them, stuff like that.

Accually where i live everyone has them
including me
At least 60% of the school has them even 2 of the teachers lol

no of course not tons of people have them. The whole point is to make you look good. (or in some cases it's for medical reasons). but anyway no. plus when you get them off it's like you've had a makeover.

not really but if you feel like they are, you should look into Invisalign. Its a way to straighten your teeth without the look of braces.

Of course not! They make them in fluorescent colors now! Looks really cool, and when it's all done, you have perfect teeth!

nahh i had braces and i thought they were kinda cool cause you could change the colors and everything..
and plus..when you get them taken off, you get perfect teeth :D

Yes, very. I know. I've had them. And yet, straight teeth are cooler than crooked.
So my advice to you - if you are considering getting them, look into Invisaline. or clear brackets.
