I've had a cold for probably two weeks. I thought I was starting to get better but now my throat is starting to hurt again, my ears are blocked up, and I'm blowing my nose more than ever. I just can't seem to clear my sinuses and no matter how much I blow, I can't breathe through my nose. I just took my temperature under my arm and it was only 97.3. Should I go to a walk-in clinic tomorrow since it's Saturday? Does it sound like I need antibiotics? What could this be? If I do have an infection, can I ride it out? Will it eventually get better on its own or do I need treatment?

Today is the worst I've felt since this cold started so long ago. This is a strange one. I've never felt like this before.

Thanks for all the great answers. I went to the clinic and am now on Amoxicillin. Started taking it on Saturday, today is Monday, and I'm feeling better already!

sounds like a sinus infection and maybe and ear infection.
If your mucus is yellow or green its an infection if its clear its allergies. If you let an infection go to long you could get bronchitis as it starts settling into your thoat and chest. An ear infection can cause a perforated eardrum and hearing lose. Take some sinus/allergy meds and see a doctor asap

I don't mean to gross you out, but if the junk you're blowing out your nose is yellow-ish or green, you have an infection and need to be seen by a doctor, and get antibiotics to clear it up. even though you're not running a temp. you can still have an infection. I recently had the same thing, and I ended up going to the dr. and I'm glad I did. I'm just starting to get better, and that's after being on antibiotics for 3 weeks!
Hope you feel better soon.

it could be a sinus infection. your doctor may suspect a sinus infection if the symptoms have been lasting more than 10 days. sometimes with a sinus infection your snot will be green. usually you will have some sinus pain or pressure, or sinus headaches. it may be a good idea to go to the walk-in clinic tomorrow, since you may need antibiotics. hope this helps! feel better soon!

I have the same thing...
Nose sprays, antibiotics haven't helped much.

Try Drixoral and a saline nose spray, that seem to give
me some relief.

Good Luck

Going to the clinic tomorrow - OK
Tonight if you have and onion or garlic..
The juice from a baked (or microwaved) onion can help the ear feel better.
Swallowing a clove (not bulb) of garlic like a pill can help its curative properties get through your system to help as well. (My supervisors daughter never got sick using one clove of garlic a day as she was growing up)
