it all depends on the person...auburn is a nice combination of the two..red hair could either be great or a disaster depending on your coloring but dark brown hair is pretty safe and bound to look good on just about anyone because it's somewhat common.

Dark brown hair is better, because it makes you look more seductive and mysterious. Red hair gives the bearer a look of trying to be noticed, unless it's natural of course. Unless the person's hair is naturally red, which matches their skin tone, red hair looks out of place.

In my opinion I think it all has to do with what kind of look you are going for. If you want that smart mature, but still knows how to have fun look think I would choose the dark brown. If you are look for the hot sexy fire look then of course it would be the red. It's all just in the matter of what you want.

Funny you asked this.....my hair is dark brown, and I had put blonde highlights in which looked great,but was thinking strawberry blonde highlights would look great too....
so the answer to your ques. in my opinion is reddish hair or red highlights because it makes ur hair look richer, w/more color and brings out the facial features and make-up, :o)
