Yes, smoke one if you want. Go easy on them till you feel better, that's all. Hope you feel better soon.

To all you antis: You are such easily-led automatons. Political interests have sparked this lynch mob of anti-smoking as if it's a crime and you're falling for it. What happened to freedom? The antis are trying to lead us into fascism. www.forces.org. The true data are there.

OK so lets get this straight you just had your tonsils removed because they were infected. I mean that is basically why you have them removed. And now you want to do something that can cause the removal of an entire lung. Are you daft. I mean how bad do you need a smoke. bad enough to suffer infection and eventually a whole menagerie of diseases. Use some sense.

You need a cigarette... unbelievable.

You're 20 and you smoke. That is fairly young for a smoker, yet perfectly legal.

I have no problems with you in need of a cig, by why do you need one NOW? They could give you mouth cancer. I wouldn't recommend smoking.

Even if it's just a little pain, you still have an opening, prone to infection. Smoking will probably give you mouth cancer, but don't risk it.

Mouth cancer is UGLY. Search the images on Google.

Follow your health care provider's instructions about not smoking before and after the procedure. Smokers heal more slowly after surgery. They are also more likely to have breathing problems during surgery. For this reason, if you are a smoker, you should quit at least 2 weeks before the procedure. It is best to quit 6 to 8 weeks before surgery. Also, your wounds will heal much better if you do not smoke after the surgery.

I wouldn't. There is a big risk of infection. However, if you do smoke gargle with anti-septic mouthwash or hydrogen peroxide.
The best action you could take is wearing the nicotine patch.

Tonsils are lymph nodes. Infection of upper body including head grains there. You don't have tonsils. Cigarette will not do any direct harm but any infection in upper body may become a matter of concern. So if you can better avoid it.
