For instance, a guy i met for a about a week ago and he called me and started to talk about the future, of like being married and having a house(s), (general future) and like what does that mean i dont understand if he then wants to be friends or something more.

He may be just expressing to you what he wants in life. He could be intereted in you and is trying to see if you have the same interests. It may be his way of seeing if you two can connect

He could think you are "the one", or he could be feeling you out to see if you have the same long-term goals and dreams that he does, in order to screen you out before he invests too much more time with you. Many people really like someone and may not be thinking about marriage right away, but they also want to know if the person they like would ever consider it. If the person they like doesn't have the same long-term goals/dreams, then they may feel that they are wasting their time, no matter how pleasant the object of their affection is, because they want to date only people who have the same goals as they do. It's hard to say. If you are uncomfortable with the topic of his conversations, you should definately tell him to slow down the train and give you both time to get to know one another before talking like that. If that makes him run, then I say you should wish him a happy trip!

Don't fall for that. They do that to make you think they really like you.....and maybe they do, but it's way to early to discuss the future. You need to spend at least 6 months with someone before you start thinking about the future. Or maybe longer, depending on how old (mature)you are.

I'm going through the exact same thing. Our conversation kind of ended up on marriage and divorce and our dream house..(creepily enough we both have the same ideas!) I know for a fact that he likes me. Sometimes though, people just want to talk. He could just want to be friends and he felt comfortable enough to talk to you about the future.

I have always believed when a man or a woman start moving too fast it's smart to back away for a bit.
Occasionally it works out but that's not what usually happens so be careful.

What happens is that you end up sad and miserable with the wrong guy if ur not very very careful. If you make sure that he is someone who is normal and will have money and is alot of fun, then let him talk about the future.

My best friend would do that (before we got together). And I thought the same thing..I thought it meant he liked me. In my case, it did. And it sounds like every guy who does that is genuinely interested in sharing something more with you. Do you like him too? I think he does. Aw how cute! =]

Sounds to me like he's looking for a serious relationship and wants to know where your relationship with him will lead to. Just take it as it comes and you'll be fine.
