I use Graco brand. They have a tray cover that just pops off of the chair so you don't have to wipe the whole thing down. It also has nice cushioning and adjusts to the height you need it to be.

I agree with Allison. I have the Fisher Price Easy Clean high chair and LOVE it.
It has the 5 point harness, instead of the waist strap only, so I feel safer having the baby in it. It reclines for when the baby is young, it has height adjustments, so she can just sit at the table when she is bigger. It has the foot rest for comfort and is easy to clean vinyl.
The best feature is the tray. It has a divided tray that just snaps over the main chair tray. That way you can let the baby eat right off the tray (what baby can really use dishes at first?) and just pop it off and wash it, while still leaving a tray up for them. This is the best Highchair I have ever come across. I love it and am saving it for baby #2.

My favourite has been a strap on high chair made by "the first years"

It is made of plastic and straps on to your kitchen chairs so it doesn't take up any extra room and comes off if you need to use the chair for an adult.

The pieces all come apart so then can go right into your sink for washing. I believe that the chair is dishwasher safe, but the pieces don't fit in my dishwasher.

It is also portable so you can take it with you wherever you think you'll want to sit little ones down to eat.

I've used mine at the park just on the ground to keep my kids in one place while they eat.

It also can be used as a booster for when they get a little older.

I've found that it is very easy to use. I can just sit baby in and use one hand to attach the tray.

My only caution to you is that you may want to put a towel on your kitchen chair as food and drinks do escape behind the bum and will get on your chair.

The only advice I can give you is that if you are going to get a full size high chair (not one that attaches to a chair) make sure it has a pommel (piece that comes up between the knees). This will keep your little one from sliding down in the chair without being restrained too tightly by the belt.

I have found the Fisher Price Easy Clean high chair (they sell them at Walmart and Toys R Us) to be a great chair for my daughter, and she has CP, so her muscle tone is poor. It will recline, sits at different heights, has a pop out tray insert to throw in the dishwasher, and is not too pricey. We can remove the tray and bring her to the table with the rest of the family, but she does not slide down too for because of the pommel.

Hope that helps.

Make sure the tray is small enough to fit in your sink. Also I like the ones without big edges, way easier to clean, though they can make more of a spill off it, I guess. Mine is pretty good at throwing.

And that the chair doesn't take up too much room for your house.

Personally I use a portable highchair on the floor because of space issues. By portable I mean the ones you strap to a chair, only I don't strap it to anything.

the baby trend high chair is what I use and it reclines in about 4 positions, the trays are easy to clean and so is the seat cover. The chair folds away nicely also

The best high chair I can think of is the Stokke tripp trapp chair. It's easy to clean, safe and we used it at the daycare center where I worked. And they can grow in it, because they are adjustable.

I bought for my son, a plastic fold-up seat at K-Mart, that straps onto a regular chair. It was the best $15 I ever spent. I folded it up & took it everywhere, even fit in my suitcase for visits all across the U.S. It was colorful & very easy to clean.

I completely agree with sweetsinglemom. I had one similar to what she describes for my first child, and a regular highchair for my second. I quickly got rid of the highchair because it was a bear to clean. If you get the plastic kind that she describes, it easily wipes down and you can just stick it in the dishwasher once in awhile to give it a good cleaning.

I used Graco on my twins. I wouldn't spend a bunch. Just try to find one with the plastic / vinyl seats...easy to wipe. No cloth. One is just as good as any. the first time they make a good mess, you'll be thankful that you didn't invest a load into them.
