The only reason people deny who they are & where they come from is because they are trying to fit in. The norm here in American for a female is white woman with tan skin, big breasts, clear skin, lots of makeup with a thin figure. Asian women aren't the only women who try to comform to the American standard of what a woman or girl should like. Men & women of many minorities do the same every day. They have lost touch of who they really are and what they represent. It become easy to fit in, so they aren't talked about or looked down on by the majority. They want to blend in with everybody, so no one really pays attention to what they think are "flaws" within their race.

Because they are American. "Race" should not have to not determine who we are. You can be proud of where you came from while still choosing to be your own person. Ive never heard of an Asian woman being ashamed. I have however heard that eastern cultures tend to be very macho. Maybe this has something to do with it...?

I could answer that. because we being women compete with each other. And many of us non- chinese, korean, and japanese asians HATE being called one of those races cause it shows ignorance. Then eventually we grow to hate your own race because of all the mental humiliation we go through being called names like "chink", "jap", "red", blah blah blah and then we look at all the other asian-americans and are ashamed because many asian-americans did well for themselves and feel that many others just sit at home go to the market and cook for their husbands. There's alot more to add but why not just ask an asian friend..... if you have one.

I am half asian, but I am in general, AMERICAN. There is nothing wrong with my asian background, but that doesnt mean I want to date an asian guy (Ive found a load of them boring) and it doesnt mean I have to act, look and be asian.

The asian girls you are dealing with probably are americanized and enjoy the american life compared to the life of being asian. They are not ashamed of their own race, they are just more open to other things and experiences. Asian women here have much more freedom, they are just taking advantage of it.

The reason for that is because a lot of Asian women want to become more "Americanized" and they feel that their Asian culture is something to be put aside and they consider it "outlandish" as to say...but they shouldn't be ashamed of who they are. Being Asian is something to be proud of, Asian culture and style is so fascinating.

There are some Asian females like that although the determination is fairly very small. although, they do make a huge splash because American media loves them. The media continually go with to positioned Asian adult adult males down so what would properly be better for them than a Asian lady who looks down on Asian adult adult males? although, genuinely, maximum Asian females are in contrast to that.

They don't hate their own race! They just don't like being paired up with Asian boys. I'm not Asian, but I'm not a genius either. If she likes you, then ask her on a date. BTW, American girls are cute, too!

whaa?
i am a korean girl and i'm so proud of it, it's not even funny. all my non-korean and non-asian friends know. i love everything about korea (well not everything, but you know)-- i love the language, the food, the boxy alphabet, the pop culture, the cheap shopping and the history! i'm not narrowminded bc most of my friends are non-asian (though i have a few good asian friends) and my boyfriend is white. i'm also not a big fan of korean cars (they suck). but i love being asian and i love bragging about it, because it's so cool to have a culture unlike people who have no culture to embrace. i am also very proud of our unique genetic traits and the fact that koreans have the least sweat glands (it's freaky and awesome). i love my sexy asian eyes/hair and i flaunt it like no other. i'm not saying korea is the best country in the world, but everyone should be proud of their ethnicity! and i just happen to be one of those people. GO ASIAN GALS! ^__^V
