My daughter has a circular red "disk" on the back of her leg. It's about 2-3 inches in diameter. It's a perfect circle. It doesn't appear to be swollen but it is raised up ever so slightly from the skin. I considered taking her to the ER but it isn't causing any pain or distress (and she's a complete drama queen). I was thinking it might even be from playing with the vacuum or some sort of suction device like paper towel roll. She doesn't have any recollection of anything happening.

Thanks for the info. I was worried it was an insect bite but there doesn't appear to be any marks in the middle or anything.

It does appear to be ringworm judging from the pics but I'm not entirely convinced.

Good point on not going to the ER. I'll take her to the doc on Monday if it doesn't clear up.

I think Ringworm may be your answer. Does it look more red around the outside, like it a Ring and not as red in the center?
I go find some information.
I got you two pictures to look at. One is the red ring the other more solid. I also get you a link to University or Maryland Medical page on this. Third link tell you all about this and what to do.

Sounds like ringworm, although perhaps 2-3 inches in diameter is rather large. Just get her to the dr. soon! Good luck!

You should make an appointment with the doctor next week just to be sure. It is probably nothing but could be a parasite, or reaction to a bug bite.

bring her to the doctor. Ask if she needs to be tested for lyme disease. Does the rash look the the one in the link?
