In WWII Lake Murray in SC have a flight school. They flew over Lake Murray and several crashed into Lake Murray. How many crashed in there? Are they still in recognizable condition?

I just read an article where 2 crashed into the lake the same day. One was recovered in 50 feet of water soon after the crash, the other was in 150 feet of water and has just recently been recovered. There have been reports from 3-25 crashes into the lake.

Estimates range from 3 to 25.
Best guess is about a dozen.

none. the ones that crashed in there have been taken to a repair station in Atlantis for complete refurbishing

Not sure how many but I saw on TV where they salvaged one there a couple of years ago and it was in very good shape.
