nice job, pam and michelle. you spelled out THC and explained that it is delivered to the brain. surprise, surprise. stimulates receptors? ok, but you did you did not explain why cannabinoids stimulate appetie, which is THE question. synth was on the money.

it's complicated.

here is a pretty reputed work on the topic, not that it's of any real relevance here considering that the question poser, everyone that has posted in this thread, myself included, would not understand it.

Your spelling would indicate that you are currently experiencing the effects of THC. It has been know for years that THC (tetrahydrocannabinol), the main chemical component of marijuana, tends to stimulate ones appetite. It also alters your ability to form coherent questions---hehe.

Myass (ha) the guy who made the comments down below, has a good point. Understanding the actual affects of cannibis on the neural pathways and metabolic processes is a rather in depth concept.

cannabis has what are called psychoactive chemicals, the main one being "tetrahydrocannabinol" or THC for short. When you smoke a joint, the THC goes into your lungs, then into your heart which pumps it into your bloodstream which then takes it directly to your brain. When you smoke marijuana, it only takes a few minutes for the THC to get to your brain, whereas if you eat it, it would take a little longer because it has to pass through your digestive system first. Once it's in your brain, the THC activates what are called "receptors", and gives you the feeling of being high. In short, marijuana changes the physical and chemical balance in your brain and this is what people refer to as a "high".

The munchies are the side affects of the THC, because marijuana changes the physical and chemical balance in your brain. Makes you hungry, relaxed, giggly , forgetful, and If you smoked it you know what..............
