1. no guns dont need ceartain types of bb's but some work more accurately than others but it depends on the gun, the difference between 6mm 12mm and so on is that they're different sizes.
2. no electric airsoft guns dont need CO2 cartridges unless specified but its not common, electrics are powered by batteries.
3. yes you do need to keep getting Co2 cartrideges or refilling them

i was just like u two months ago. check out the questions i asked about airsoft guns. i asked like 15-25 of those questions. ok here are ur answers
1.it needs 6mm bbs .12grams. the higher the gram, the more accurate but the slower. the less grams the less accurate but faster.
2.no some electric guns need charging as others require AA or AAA batteries.
3.u have to keep buying Co2 cartridges but they dont run out fast so they last longer and they are cheap like 40 cartridges for $20.00 at sports authority
Also beginners should always start off as spring guns but if u want u can use Co2 and electric but springers are best for beginners like i used to be not too long ago.
hope this helps and is ur best answer please also check out my questions for more help.

CO2 guns aren't electric. The 6mm and 12mm bullets are just the weight. The weight varies the speed and distance at which they go. Co2 cartridges don't last forever. You have to buy them but they go really cheap. They sting really really bad. You really need to wear eye ware and have a two foot shooting distance so you don't get hurt really bad.
