You can do what is called a "hot foot bath" anytime you feel that you may be getting any type of sickness. The intention is to raise your body temperature ( like a fever does), in order to kill off any bacteria or viruses that are attempting to reproduce and make you ill.

This is the procedure: get a tub that is deep enough to submerse both of your feet in. Fill it with enough hot water to cover your feet, and add more hot water every 15 minutes of so (as it begins to cool). While you are doing this, you want to wrap yourself in a blanket or anything warm. Soak your feet for 20 minutes, then dry off, put on warm socks, cover up well, and get in bed under lots of warm covers. This is a old-time remedy that really works.

I had a sore throat from h---- just last week I tried this that I saw in a woman's magi zine--
take 1 teaspoon of oregano leaves --found in the spice section of your grocery store.
and steep in a cup of water a few minutes, then strain and let cool down then gargle with it -- it helped so much I highly recommend it!
another remedy is to gargle with warm water, with a teaspoon of salt and 1 teaspoon of baking soda in it, it worked great as well.

I'm a firm believer in Zicam. I have a 3 and 2 year old neice and nephew. They are sick a lot from being in daycare/preschool. Zicam is over the counter homeopathic. It's great. Works very good to stave off colds or help you get over them faster.

you've probably got post nasal drip from your sinuses. take an antihistamine to help dry them up and the soreness will go away on it's own. if you act soon enough. otherwise you'll have to go to a doctor.
